One of the fun parts of going to NECC is the large tradeshow, one of the largest ed tech ones in the world. I’m hoping this year’s will be good, unlike some of the ones in years past that seemed to focus more on administration, logistics, and testing than tools for learning. I’m planning on visiting many of the people I know at booths such as Handheld Learning, GoKnow, Turning Technologies, Apple, and LEGO Education. While going through the list of vendors, I noticed that a big name is missing this year, Palm, Inc. I wonder if this is yet another sign that they are letting go of the education market, and it’s not a good one, at least for the U.S. market. I hope to find out more through the grapevine while at NECC. I’ll keep you posted on this one.
This will be my last post before I leave for Atlanta tomorrow. Hope to see many of you there.
